- Proof of Employment (proof of income issued within 3 months – payslips for instance)
- Portugal NIF Number (original document)
- Tax Number in the country of origin
- Phone number where you receive SMS
- Last 3 month’s bank statements
- Parent’s full name
- Fill out the KYC (Know your customer) form

For most people, the average turnaround time to open a bank account is 3-4 weeks. Our turnaround time is an estimate. There are things outside of our control (e.g. international customs, shipping times, and bank compliance. We cannot guarantee that your bank account will be opened by a certain date.

Yes, you need your NIF document to open a bank account, not just the number. If you don't have a NIF yet, you can order one here!

Since this is a dynamic situation, eligibility will depend on your nationality, country of residence, and origin of income. The bank selected for your application will be based on this information, as each bank has different policies and requirements.
Banks may request additional information and documents from citizens of certain nationalities they consider high risk, which could delay the account opening process.
